Alternative Pride Toronto 2019 is proud to present:

Panel – Keenan Orr in conversation with Mark-Ché Devonish

Keenan Orr is a queer DJ from Washington, DC with over 20 years of spinning under his belt. The co-creator of DC fetish party Sleaze got his start in the 90’s at underground DC clubs like Buzz/Nation, Red and Club Five, and now he’s a regular DJ at legendary queer nights like Honcho (Pittsburgh), Honey Soundsystem (SF), Buttons (Berlin), F*g Bash (Provincetown), Slay City (New Orleans) and more.

Keenan has a storied career and isn't slowing down. We’re sitting him down with Mark-Ché Devonish of The RUDE Collective at Dead Dog Records on Church Street to talk about his career path and his brand of disco and techno that’s made him so in demand in the underground queer scene.

The space is pretty small so arrive early and get acquainted with Keenan before he headlines Backdoor Toronto – Pride Villa Party!

This panel is a free event. Get some culture before we wreck our brain cells!

Attend the rest of the Alternative Pride Toronto 2019 programming. See local and international artists at six events over four days with one pass for $100 ($132 value). All tickets and passes available at http://alternativepride.ca/

Toronto is on the unceded traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the New Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. It is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the New Credit. Alternative Pride Toronto supports truth and reconciliation with Canada’s Indigenous peoples and recognizes their enduring presence and resilience in this area for thousands of years.
