A book launch and dance party celebrating the release of two new books that address the intersections of art, gender, sexuality, and urbanism. 

Author, artist, and activist Nikolay Oleynikov (Russia) will be in attendance to read from his book "Sex of the Oppressed" and respond to questions, and the editors of the new "Queer City Reader" Shawn Van Sluys (Canada) and Todd Lanier Lester (Brazil) will present the English edition of this unique collection of writing, and speak about the project that inspired the publication. This a free event and food will be provided.

Queer City, a Reader
A São Paulo-based collective inquiry into how can we understand the contemporary city through a queer, intersectional, non-normative lens. Book presentation by Todd Lanier Lester and Shawn Van Sluys.

Sex of the Oppressed by Nikolay Oleynikov of the Chto Delat collective.
An experiment in introspection about sexualities, gender and radical sensibilities in Soviet and Post-Soviet culture. Nikolay will read from the book, followed by Q & A.
