Where to watch Rupaul's Drag Race in Toronto
Viewing of Rupaul's Drag Race Season 9 in Toronto is essential and is the most enjoyable with groups of friends (and strangers) along with a few drinks. Whether it's in a pub hosted by drag queens, in a gay sports bar or on a carefully selected couch with the fortunate few that can enjoy from home... the time has come! 1. Crews & Tangos (508 Church St.)
The fabulous Friday Goddess Girls start the show early (8pm) on Friday's now thanks to Drag Race. They'll give you pre-show recaps, commentary, post-show wrap ups and performances for your life!
2. Erotico (461 Church St.)
Catch your weekly helping of fish inside a strip club on Church Street. This weekly screening is hosted by Scarlett Bobo and Juice Boxx. You can expect games, prizes and drag shows.
3. Garage (477 Church Street)
Miss Devine Darlin' takes over Garage to guide you through Drag Race episodes every Friday starting at 8pm. Expect specials, performances and one of our city's fiercest queens all up in your face.
4. Gladstone Hotel (1192 Queen St. W.)
Alert! Catch only the season premiere at one of Toronto's friendliest queer bars, near Ossington. Allysin Chaynes and Champagna Enemea host, but they'll be moving the show back to the Gladstone on week two and for the rest of the season after that. Expect some great drunken commentary and performances.
5. Glad Day (499 Church St.)
Glad Day shows the show at 9pm, so if you couldn't get your act together for the first showing, there's this one! They've got a big screen at the back , plenty of chairs, the bar is open and Erin Brockobitch hosts!
6. O'Grady's (518 Church St.)
Ala Mode hosts, performs and gives away things at the O'Grady's screening of Season 9, up inside The Lodge on the second floor.
7. Pegasus (489B Church St.)
Step inside the Village's only pool bar (tables, not splash pads) and catch a weekly Drag Race screening on their giant TVs. More details to come about this one.
8. Striker (31 St. Joseph St.)
See all the queens in all of their HD glory on the beautiful screens inside Toronto's only gay sports bar. They'll be screening Drag Race every Friday unless there's a major Toronto sports game on, so watch their Facebook page before heading over. They also do a Ru-view of Friday's episode on Mondays!
9. Statler's (487 Church St.)
Jacklynne Hyde moves her filth and wisdom to the Church Street jazz bar. The goth queen gives her own Dirty Drag Race spin to the weekly screenings with performances in the screening room on the second floor. Expect games, shows and sickening prizes.
10. Wayla Bar (996 Queen st. E)
The east-end staple screens every Friday. Stay for one of their parties afterward!
