19 years of Christmas Spice

  • Paul Petro Gallery 980 Queen Street West Toronto, ON, M6J 1H1 Canada (map)

From Mr. Petro: "We've dug into the archive and are pulling out works that date back to our first "Christmas Cheer" (a.k.a. "Christmas Spice") in 1997. The name change in 1998 coincided with a YYZ fundraiser lipsynchorama performance at the Rivoli by a bunch of us as The Spice Girls.

The exhibition was predicated on the idea that someone might acquire their first work of art, ever, for as little as $2.

We'll be opening this exhibition in conjunction with "West Country", an exhibition of new ceramic works by Amy Bowles and new paintings by Gary Evans.
