Join us for this year’s Women’s Gala Party, Signature Groove, after we screen the Canadian premiere of Signature Move. The film is a hilarious love story about female strength, family and Lucha-style wrestling.

If body slamming and hitting the mat sound like a good time, prepare to have the night of your life at Signature Groove, our Women’s Gala Party. Join us as we explore the dynamic world of women’s wrestling with the League of Lady Wrestlers. Announcing right alongside will be Jax Irwin (Jaclyn Irwin). Clotheslines optional, dancing mandatory. DJs Cozmic Cat(Cherry Bomb Toronto) and Wei Back (BROWN // RICE: QTPOC dance party collective, Regretro) will be in the ring all night long.

About Cozmic Cat:
Cozmic Cat has brought her dj mix to Iceland, USA , South Africa & more, however she is best known in Toronto as the resident dj and co- founder of Cherry Bomb, the city's longest running queer women's monthly party. Coz is also a music producer with her first solo e.p out June 14th 2017.

About Wei Back:
Lulu Wei is a QPOC filmmaker and DJ. She has been cohosting and Djing monthly queer dance parties in Toronto for the past 5 years including Regretro, Goodies and Brown Rice. She's been involved both as a dj and a filmmaker with Inside Out, DJing the closing night party in 2015 and having a short film screen last year. Her main focus as a DJ and filmmaker is to reclaim spaces for QTPOCs through the Brown Rice Collective and creating content that represents the diversity of Toronto's queer community. Her eclectic mix of hip hop, dancehall, bmore club, 90s and electro will make you sweat all night long.

About Jax Irwin:
Jaclyn "Jax" Irwin is an East Coast transplant that now calls the sweet city of Toronto home. Jax is passionate about broadcasting, LGBTQ+ issues, latin food, and dogs. You can catch her on air on KiSS 92.5 10AM-3PM, or on her bike around the city.
