The TCAF Queer Mixer returns for 2017, at it's brand new home GLAD DAY BOOKS! Yes the newly-moved Oldest Gay Bookstore in the world now ALSO has a fully-functioning bar and restaurant in it, and is located a few steps from the corners of Church and Wellsley, at 499 Church Street! It's 15 minutes walk, or one subway stop, away from Toronto Reference Library.
Beginning at 7pm, the Mixer will feature a special event, a screening of preview footage from the forthcoming film "QUEER JAPAN," and Director Graham Kolbeins, co-writer Anne Ishii, lead translator Jocelyne Allen, and featured subject Gengoroh Tagame will be at the event doing a short Q&A after the footage screening! :D
Then, beginning at 8pm, MASSIVE's Anne Ishii will host the Mixer in her indomitable style, as a wide variety of TCAF's queer-identified creators get short, saucy interviews, and the general public gets a chance to meet, mix, and mingle with creators and their fellow comics fans.
