Phase Fatale [Ostgut Ton | Berghain / Panorama Bar | KHIDI]
Over the past four years, Hayden Payne, originally from New York, has earned a reputation as a techno innovator, both for the broad spectrum of dystopian electronics included in DJ sets as well as his deep understanding of synthesis and sound design in his own productions. Having previously released on labels such as 47, [aufnahme + wiedergabe]] and, Jealous God, Phase Fatale is consistently blurring the fine line between post-punk, EBM and industrial techno. His unique productions and DJ sets have landed him residences in the worlds best LGBTQ+ clubs such as Berghain / Panorama Bar in Berlin and KHIDI in Tbilisi. In 2018 he has also released his first LP on Hospital Productions, kicked off his own label BITE with a collaborative EP between himself and Silent Servant (Official), released his debut EP on Berghain's in-house label Ostgut Ton.
Boy Pussy [Wet Trax | Toronto]
They became a staple of Toronto's queer underground after their DJ debut in 2013. Their artful mix of hard techno and classic house evolved during frequent sets at transgressive queer parties such as Pornothèque, Blood Sweat & Queers, and Bruce LaBruce's AGO First Thursday.
Their debut single "Unisex" was released on Play Records in January 2015. Boy Pussy has continued to explore themes of gender and sex roles on follow-up singles such as acid house banger "Suck Me Off" and deep house throbber "Daddy". They also run the independent record label Wet Trax, launched to represent Toronto's queer dance music microcosm and beyond. Boy Pussy is a staple in the Toronto queer electronic scene and we are ecstatic to have them crank the dance-floor into a sweaty, hot, mess.
