Work in Progress welcomes:

☹ Josey Rebelle (Rinse FM, London) [T.O. DEBUT]
☹ Marcus Visionary (Liondub International, Toronto)
☹ Ciel (Peach Discs, Toronto)
☹ Club Fitness (MASc, Toronto)

For the past 7 years, London's Josey Rebelle has dazzled the world with the full spectrum of her musical knowledge on her weekly 3hr Sunday morning Rinse FM show. Seamlessly combining countless genres with a raw underground energy, Josey has earned her chops playing everything from house, jungle, and UK garage, to soul, disco, and reggae. Her shapeshifting, genre-bending sets have ignited countless UK & international dancefloors at Panorama Bar, Fabric, Concrete, Dimensions, Sustain Release, and De School, a residency at the famed Plastic People, and mixes for platforms like BBC Radio 1, Resident Advisor, and the very first Boiler Room broadcast back in 2010. In an industry where few DJs are able to sustain enduring careers without releasing music, Josey has proven herself as a true DJ's DJ, prioritizing heavyweight selections and a love for the tunes above all else.

In keeping with the night's UK sounds, we've invited one of Toronto's most-beloved underground heros and a true pioneer of this city's storied d'n'b scene, Marcus Visionary, for an all jungle set. What would Toronto jungle be without Marcus, who has been championing the sound since well before this genre's recent revival? A man whose knowledge and dedication to the underground knows no bounds, Marcus will be closing out in the late rave hours for Josey. Opening up the room will be myself and another fast-rising local DJ, Club Fitness, whose taste for the wilder, more broken side of electro and house has been impressing audiences in Toronto for time.
