QUEER SOBER EVENTS GUIDE MARCH

March 4, 2025

Vee Willard

You asked for it, and we created it! A monthly roundup of events in the city that are alcohol-free or where alcohol is present but easily ignored

You made it! We are neaarly getting to the point where days are getting longer, brighter and gayer. The snowbanks are retreating into the ground. You’re gradually wearing less and less clothing (and we’re here for it!).

You did your best to stick to your sobriety goals in the deep, depressing cold season – a time when keeping to such goals is often the most difficult – and before long you’ll have blue skies and the sun’s replenishing, vitamin-D-filled rays to help keep you on the straight and narrow.

And to help with all that, here’s a fresh crop of sober things for you to do. You vaguely remember how to function in the outside world, so cough up that wad of cat hair you’ve been accumulating, soak the potatoes from your winter stew-encrusted hair, trim back that hearty winter nose bush, and get out there!

Please note that this guide is put together to the best of the ability of our alcohol-free Events Editor Vee, who does her best, but may not always get it right. Please use your best judgment and if an event is making you feel uncomfortable or tempted to break your sobriety goals, consider leaving, and if you want to, let us know.
