Commemorate the anniversary of one of the first Pride events in Toronto with a community gathering and plaque unveiling at Hanlan’s Point.

Bring your lunch and learn about the history of one of the city's first Pride events, and queer advocacy and activism on the Toronto Islands and beyond.

Enjoy on-site community activations and historical interpretation throughout the day!

Join us at 11am for a special unveiling of a new Heritage Toronto plaque about the history of queer space at Hanlan’s Point and the first pride picnic held there. Activities and other events celebrating the history of the site will follow!
