CHAPSTICK is so excited to collaborate on May 10th with the incredible Wishing Well! CHAPSTICK is like going to a party with friends and friends of friends where there is art, activities, dancing and different ways to connect and express yourself. WISHING WELL is a queer witchy danceparty ritual with pop-up performances, truth or dare, magic, chaos, order and wishes. A place for f@gs, freaks and friends to gather, meet, play and CONNECT. This is a divine feminine space.

Look for the WISHING WELLS in the bathrooms and around the club. Make a wish. All your wishes will come true.

Beyond some amazing queer DJs and performers we will have an earring making station, tarot, massage, interactive art and a piercer! Check out our instagram to follow along with these reveals and get excited with us.

What to Wear: Dress in a way that makes you feel amazing! Vintage and retro, cargo pants, sexy or kink gear- wear whatever makes you feel most like yourself. Body mods and an accessories swap means you can level up your outfit on the night of.

What to Expect and Accessibility Info: The event space has art studio/loft/warehouse vibes and is located at Adelaide and Bathurst. Sadly, this venue is not fully accessible and has one small flight of stairs to an elevator. The ceilings are high, ventilation is good and windows will be open. CHAPSTICK is pro vaccine and mask friendly- we will have masks available. Please stay home if you are sick- we cannot guarantee a refund, but message us and we often are able to offer you one. There will be plenty of seating and a plounge to get cozy. There will be coloured lighting and some changes in lighting (but no strobe lights). There are two non-gendered washrooms, one has urinals. If there is anything we can do to make things more accessible for you or if you have questions, please reach out!

Harm Reduction: We will have harm reduction kits for safer use in the plounge space and washrooms as well as naloxone kits at the bar, DJ booth and washrooms.

Volunteers and Vibe Patrol: Our volunteers are trained in harm reduction practices and you can reach out to them if there are any issues throughout the night with harm reduction, consent, accessibility etc. They will be wearing glowing arm bands throughout the night.

Safety Info: We are aiming to build a radical space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to revel in joy and pleasure, and part of that work lies in recognizing power and privilege in these spaces. Racism, transphobia, queerphobia, ableism, slut shaming, fat shaming, or any other oppressive behaviour is not tolerated in our space. Consent is freely given, reversible, informed, specific and enthusiastic!

Tickets: We have 3 tiers of tickets- 1) BIPOC folx- $25, 2) General- $33 and 3) The Benefits of Capitalism- $40. CHAPSTICK is a non-profit venture, where we are spending every last dollar on bringing you an incredible experience in a safe and inclusive space. We don't want cost to be a barrier, if you can’t afford the cost of a ticket, please reach out. In saying that, if you are able to afford the $40 ticket, know that you are offsetting the cost of a ticket for someone else to attend. Last part we gave out 15+ tickets to those that couldn't afford one.
