What's the deal?

This show features Toronto's super duper talented queer comedians testing out new jokes as well as newer queer comedians working out their act in front a real audience (that's you!)! This a fun, inclusive room right in the heart of the village. All welcome, including allies!

What's the vibe?

We do our best to keep this a comfortable, inclusive space for both queer audience members and the comics! There is zero tolerance for any sort of 'phobias, punching down, aggressive crowd work etc. All performers are pre-booked and must agree to community guidelines that lay out expectations. The show is also hosted and produced by 2 queer comedians who know live comedy isn't always comfy for non-cis-het-men and are passionate about offering a positive comedy experience for all!

What time should I get there?

Doors are at 8 and we start the actual show promptly at 8 30 pm. The show runs until 10 pm, with 2 intermissions.

How much are tickets?

This is free to attend for audience, with the option to tip in person if you are feelin' it (bring cash! if we can tip our drag performers, we can tip our queer comedians, riiiiight?).

Can I perform?

Oh hell ya! Comedians (or aspiring comedians!) can get at Kyle Rubini (@kyle.rubini) or Anna Sebastien (@annasebastiencomedy) to get a reserved spot on this booked mic. All are welcome, including first timers, but priority goes to queer folx. Allies on their best behaviour are welcome if there are still available spots.

How often does this go down?

We do this the first Sunday each and every month, from now until the end of time.

Will it be weird if I come solo?

Nope! Feel free to pop in, watch some comedy, and dip after if you aren't feeling social. If you're looking to mingle and maybe have a meet cute, feel free to introduce yourself to other audience members and / or some of the comedians - everyone is really really nice. This is all about community and supporting queer artists!

Questions? Want to come out but are a lil nervous? Just think we're cute?

Totally feel free to reach out to Kyle Rubini (@kyle.rubini) and / or Anna Sebastien (@annasebastiencomedy) on Instagram. We love new friends and know comedy spaces can be a bit intimidating at first! We're here to help :)

See you there? 🤠🌈

------

The performance space is up a narrow flight of stairs. Unfortunately there is no lift or elevator
Please stay home if you are sick, have been exposed to COVID, etc. - we all want a fun, sexy, healthy night! You are totally welcome to wear a mask and we'd be stoked if you rapid tested before hand.
