QTBIPOC Beach Day - Special Sunset Edition

𝗤𝗧𝗕𝗜𝗣𝗢𝗖 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 is this coming Thursday, August 22nd! Join Friends of Hanlan's and your favourite QTBIPOC collectives and organisations for a beautiful queer and trans BIPOC beach day 🌈

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: a casual afternoon filled with community and joy, topped off with the best sunset in the city It's meant to be a laid-back afternoon, don't expect too much programming, just come and enjoy!

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: North Beach ("Old Hanlan's") near the flagpole, first entrance along the Rainbow Road, opposite the Mermaid Cafe. To get to the beach, take a ferry from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal ($9.11 roundtrip) or a water taxi like @tikitaxi ($13 one-way) to the Hanlan's Point Ferry Docks. Then walk south for 10 minutes before veering right at the fork before the tennis courts.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: don't forget a water bottle, towel, and snack! You can refill your water bottle at the spots marked on the maps above. There are washrooms located near the beach. There is only one single-stall fully-inclusive washroom, it is located at Gibraltar Point.
