HOW TO PLAY

The Dating Game is a classic TV game show, and it's also a fun party game you can play with friends! The concept is simple: one person (the "dater") asks a series of questions to three potential "dates," who are hidden from view. Based on the answers, the dater chooses one person to go on a date with.

Here’s how to play a basic version of The Dating Game:
Players:

1 "dater" (the person asking the questions)
3 "contestants" (the people who will answer the questions)

Setup:

Dater: Sit in a chair facing away from the contestants so they can't see them.
Contestants: Sit behind a screen or in a place where the dater can't see them.
   Audience sees it all unfold!

How to Play:

Questioning Phase 1: The dater asks the contestants a series of questions (up to 5 questions or 20 minutes, whichever comes first). They might ask things like:
"If you were a superhero, what would your power be?"
"What's your idea of a perfect first date?"
"If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?"

Contestants will answer without revealing their identity.

Questioning Phase 2: After a break, the Contestants will get to ask the dater one question each.
Question Phase 3: After a second break, the audience will get to ask a question to the group and then the Dater will make their choice.
Dater's Decision: After asking a few questions, the dater picks the contestant whose answers they liked the most and selects them for a "date."
Reveal: After the dater makes their choice, the contestants are revealed to the dater.

It’s a fun and casual game that mixes creativity and humor!
Please note:
1. Contestants will be required to talk in front of a crowd.

2. Trigger Warning for Light and Sound Sensitivity. Please note that this event may include bright lights and moderate sound levels (e.g., background music or applause). While we aim to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, we recommend attendees with light or sound sensitivities bring any personal aids or accommodations they may need (e.g., earplugs, sunglasses).
