Queer Sober Events Guide February

February 13, 2025

Vee Willard

All aboard the non-booze cruise! A monthly roundup of events in the city that are alcohol-free or where alcohol is present but easily ignored

It’s deep cold and the day seems to end an hour before it begins. The joy of Christmas and New Years is over, and there’s still so much winter to go. It’s fair to say that February is a daunting prospect for many people.

It can be particularly difficult for those of us trying to keep our minds off of alcohol. Alcohol –  sometimes a fix-all that can ruin your life.

So, what’s the best way to combat the SADs that make us itchy with cravings? The answer is not to hunker down in your dank cave of rot and let the darkness eat away at your soul while the coldness destroys your extremities... The answer is to stay active!

The February edition of our monthly queer sober events guide has lots of suggestions for things you can do that will get you out the door but also won’t ruin your sobriety goals.

Please note that this guide is put together to the best of the ability of our alcohol-free listings editor Vee, who does her best, but may not always get it right. Please use your best judgement and if an event is making you feel uncomfortable or tempted to break your sobriety goals consider leaving, and if you want to, let us know.
