Queer East Social provides an opportunity for the 2SLGBTQ+ communities and allies to reflect on & celebrate all that has been achieved, while standing up against hate to create a more inclusive and supportive society.
We have heard from community leaders of a need to stand up loudly as an ally outside of our work in the hospitality industry.

Our Stand:
Gusto 54 (Café ZUZU) has long stood up for our values of equity & accessibility for all. With the launch of Café ZUZU in Regent Park, we now have an opportunity to expand our focus east with this space and have a new home for Gusto Gives Back.
Rules of Engagement:
We believe we are all made better by the diversity that exists in our communities. Our values are centred on the notion of creating a place where every team member and guest feels welcome, respected, appreciated, and able to be themselves.
We hold a zero-tolerance policy for guests, vendors, & team members who do not conduct themselves with these same values inside our space.
Systemic discrimination has been built up and reinforced for centuries, whether against Black, Indigenous people, people of colour, 2SLGBTQ+, and other historically marginalized communities.
Only a sustained and focused effort will eliminate it.
Please RSVP as space and some activations at the event have limited quantities.
